The Classic Hydroplane Racing site has been setup to promote Classic Hydroplane racing in Australia. Over time, as more boat restorations are completed, the site will reveal more and more complete race ready boats. At present, the boats listed are those which are in active competition or which have current race registration. While there are less than 30 of these classic racers in existence in the southern hemisphere today, the owners and drivers of them are very enthusiastic about rebuilding, promoting and most of all, racing them! The Classic hydro's a currently going through a major resurgence in this country with approximately 13 hydro's either currently racing regularly, or close to being finished in restoration.
